Tomorrow
Tomorrow
Is never a promise
But it is a gift
Once unwrapped
I hope
It's better than today
But if I'm honest
I would gift
A thousand tomorrows
If I could
Because today
Isn't quite it
And when I'm feeling blue
I think of tomorrow
And all the joy
It could bring
So I'm here standing
On a balcony
Bewitched by the stars
And moonlight
Makes my wet cheeks shimmer
So when I say
Tomorrow is not a promise
It's the greatest gift
And I just hope
It's one I receive
Because today
Isn't what I need it to be
So I just hope
Tomorrow
When unwrapped
Fills my life with sunshine
And the promise
That it will get better
