Tomorrow

TOMORROW

    t'would lift
me up in the honey dew
the sky dripping with golden refrain t'would
  also be a Friday
for presents and cake not for me

if life was fair t'would legitimize
    my lazy days
t'would be a day where no one ran away
an outdoors swim toweled off

a day where arms were full
for me and him t'would that i
were on a Minnesota high
and my darling at a fetching
table for a family of four

   i'd be okay
if normal was the only case

this mime can't escape the box
except for dandelions at home base

i see a fluffy-fat and snowy bunny
but not up close she struggles
                           out of arms
reach so my pair of grands

who grow with each passing day

my kiss don't reach

ruby lipstick on the screen's
                         hard to throw
               that far

I really love this! Some great lines: "t'would that i were on a Minnesota high and my darling at a fetching table for a family of four i'd be okay if normal was the only case this mime can't escape the box except for dandelions at home base i see a fluffy-fat and snowy bunny but not up close she struggles out of arms reach..."
