Tom

cat lies purring with a motor -like sound and only he knows what
has given him satisfaction, perhaps it was the dish of warm milk or the field
mouse he stalked earlier in the day.
his eyes are now just like slits ...then open wide at the slightest of sound!
'twas nothing but me shifting on my cot. he opens wide for a large lion yawn
then slowly closes his eyes again.
in the morning he is there sitting at the pane as i move to the door he is off again
in search of his prey, but he'll be back for milk and dreams of his day.
