Very good poem on Tolkien's works. He was a little far out for me, but when I was in high school I did enjoy The Hobbit, Matthew. Love, Carolyn

Wonderful work always, Matt. I love all his work! The books are always better but the movies bring such visual clarity, also. Unfortunately, I have no talent for his style of writing so I've never attempted. Hope you're having a good holiday today. Always, Annalise

oh, and great poem! Can't say I was influenced by anyone to do much fantasy poetry but once in a while I do!

Matt, it was years ago that I read the trilogy of Lord of the Rings, but I remember being completely engrossed in it. Those days are long past. the most I read today are the poems at Soup and my weekly tv guide.haha. Oh, and of course my student's papers. Yes, I recall now that you told me about postcards months ago.thanks for the reminder! Luv, Andrea
