Token of Courage

It was really unbelievable for her first
She was not ready to accept it as well
But truth is a strong dictator
Who never listen to anybody's likes or dislikes
And make people understand it's power

He whom she eloped with is just a body now
The courageous army man dedicated
his life to his mother land
Never did he thought twice before volunteering to be a part of battalion who were leaving to border that faces a never ending attack
Nor did he thought of his wife who had left everything to live with him
He deliberately forgot the smile of his 2 year old baby
That's he
A genuine soldier who thinks of the nation first
National flag and uniform was there in each of his heart beat

Everyone leaves her after his funeral
She and his memories
along with a little baby remains there unmoved
To live without him was not there even in her wildest dreams
It will be painful for her to accept the fact
It will take time for her to move on
Darkness will be what she see for a long time
Depression will become the ruler of her mind
Tears and haunting memories will become her daily companion

This are all what we think
But her thoughts were more on her daughter
No one who knows her will blame her motherhood
But how can she be a father as well
He showed his strength when situation demanded
Now the world is going to see hers
She can't fail as she is the better half of naton's saviour
And she will not as she knows he will be watching her from the heaven

Anju, a sad yet powerful message you have expressed here. Alas, this has been the plight of too many left behind. Best to you as you continue your poetical journey. Bob
