Togetherness

looking at your pictures
you always knew to smile
with my silent moment
i'll think of you a while
and try not to let those memories
become a tearfull reunion
but savor the precious moments
and have a delightful communion
sometimes i think about
your fingers and your toes
and looking at your picture
i remember your pretty crooked nose
the way you did your hair
when you got dressed up
the scarfs, the ribbons, earrings
and other pretty stuff
i can see your picture
and i even have a recording
of your voice
but i'd rather have you
if i ever had the choice
looking at you picture
and remembering your voice
i'd much rather have you
if i ever had the choice

Precious memories you have of April, John. The scarfs, ribbons, earrings, even pictures and recordings may bring you both comfort and pain for the time being. Just remember, you WILL be reunited again in heaven. Love, Carolyn

John, I think of my parents everyday.I think of my father's laughter, thngs that he did, stories that he told, my mother's simple advice, foods that she prepared that no one but her had the recipe too. Those are such good memories.I am glad that you are having good memories. So many loose someone and can't say that they have good memories.I appreciate you stopping by, reading, and commenting on my work..I just used a wild imagination when I saw those Turkeys..I could see some juveniles there..Sare
