Together We Can Shape Peace

Alone we can do so little to make this world a better place, And put an end to every form of discrimination we face. To rid crime and violence from every corner of the earth, And rise united as a global village and to peace give birth. We must surmount every obstacle that stand in our way, We must break down every barrier as we go from day to day. We must affirm the common ground on which we can come together, We must rise up with one voice as we vow to make things better. No looking down on people because of their country’s name, No turning up our noses but accepting that we are not the same. Look in the mirror and change your views and perception, Let us come together and bring peace to our nation. Let not class, colour, creed or sexual orientation be our demise, Open your hearts and minds for we are all the same in God’s eyes. We must change our mindset of how we think things should be, And be our brothers’ keepers so the world can finally see. Together we must stand firm and fight with all our might, Not a physical fight but with our hearts and minds united to make things right. Alone we can do nothing to change the world’s view , But together we can do so much and it all begins with me and you. The things that divide us we must tear down one by one, Whether racial , tribal, religious or political; they must never be allowed to cripple our nation. The time has come for us to stand up and speak out , For shaping peace together is what it should be about. Alone we can do so little to make a difference wherever we may be, But together we can rise , surmount and conquer with world peace as our destiny. And as one family under God let us rise up and build each other, As we conquer our common foe and vow to shape global peace together.
