Eve Roper Poet Sonnet

Together We Are Strong

Together we're strong with each day unfolds
at dark night while stars fill or daydreams love.
Zeal blooms each joyous touch full of warm gold,
managed under gust wind from up above.

We continue loving after decades
being together. Wiping weeping tears,
a healing within fragile body wades,
for a night chasing away pain and fears.

His illness has been a struggle; once brave
filled with fulfillment embracing whole life,
now being swallowed by a tidal wave
he is simply letting it cease his strife.

If you touch one with love, ne'er drift apart
feeling no regrets could you heal a heart.
