Together In Solitude

Today this morning as the sun begins to rise
Deep in thought my soul opens and I realize
Life isnt brought to us for our own goal or purpose
We, each one, spinning with solid dedication
Begins anothers endless rotation
Singlely working toward its own elevation
Gears of a welll oiled creation
Our goals centered around our own reality
Each day each one growing older maybe not equally
Headed toward our own destiny
Propelling another in their own identity
Your journey brings dents and possibly a scar
All the while making us who we are
Distances taking you no where yet bringing us so far
Much like the parts of a well built car.
As we spin so elequently never realizing our world depends on another
Maybe a stranger, a friend, perhaps your mother
Endlessly we spin blindly propelling each other
Yet we live for ourselves, getting nowhere. oh brother!
This day I close my eyes and thoughts turn inward on my own soul
Where its hard to reflect but still inwardly I go
Looking back I see my accomplishments and the things opportunitys or moments I blowed.
But from this day forward there are things I know.
This gear, this single piece of a very large creation
content with my own existence a world made from my own imagination.
But now not so blindly beginning anothers rotation
Instead of spinning with just dedication I'll put my heart into the equation
