The night we met
Started like most others
But nothing could prepare us
For that moment we connected
You asked me to dance
I said yes and we moved together
You held me in your arms
A night we wanted to last forever
This magical thing we created
Serendipity at its finest
Our hearts beat as one song
Perfect harmony and alignment
Together forever
Completely yours
Together forever
The one I adore
Together forever
Our hearts just clicked
Together forever
Our souls are linked
Entwined by destiny and fate
Our love wrapped around our beings
Nothing could come between us
Or so we strongly believed
But darker forces were active
They came between our hearts
Separated by space and time
We were devastated by the heartache
Nothing seemed to give us hope
Time ceased to flow in our favour
Until we overcame the circumstances
That had made optimism seem in vain
And once we reconnected
Nothing would ever separate us again
We left under cover of darkness
Made a new life far away from them
Together forever
