Together Forever
Sweet-smelling jasmine flowers drifting neath,
as matched scented ash filters near pursuit;
graveyard blue glimpse, cold as its winter heath,
marble spread from ash and spikes in tribute.
Dolor folks tear stain handcloth intercepts,
soul-searching words honor tranquil verses,
pacifies warm hearts with divine precepts,
as cooling parked cars by two dark hearses.
Long was their memories, short was their time,
mere seconds took from their years of true love;
complex to fathom while both near their prime,
to show their oneness, they freed a sole dove.
Job says, chosen hour comes God of death,
Now rest two servants breathe Heavenly breath.
