todays walk
I walk my hill today
it is wet and slippery
full of walnut and oak leaves
I have to watch my step
because there are also walnuts
shaking in a maple tree takes my attention
water is flicked onto me in a big way
I expect to see a puma leap from the tree
the branch springs up as if something was in there
I have no idea what and keep walking
