TODAY’S FORECAST: Partly Cloudy

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
sky, a cracked porcelain bowl turned upside down over the city. sunlight bleeds through cracks~ cumulus bruises bloom devouring the blue in ragged bites. pigeon lands on a wet fire escape, shaking rain from oil-slick feathers. somewhere, an umbrella turns inside out~ a black flower gasping. light fractures on puddles~ liquid mercury swallowing both cloud-shapes and sky-reflection until the pavement holds two opposing heavens. yet in this suspended breath between deluge and glare, a single raindrop balances on a sycamore leaf's spine~ not falling, not holding still, just trembling in the indecisive wind. we call it partly cloudy~ as if existence was binary.
The poised, imperfect balance between deluge and glare, clarity and shadow captured in a delightful poem, congratulations
I am amazed where your mind creatively traveled writing this poem. It is so awesome how differently individuals think, that where some 'go', others do not, like me going where your pen went for this poem. It's a great read. Congratulations on your win. Thank you for your well wishes for my hand on Andrea's blog. I can now place fingers on correct keys but only type for so long before hand hurts BUT I keep on getting better all the time. Loved time with your poem
