Today Is the First Day
Today is the first day-
That I make myself better.
That I eat right, and exercise.
That I clean all my clutter.
And why? Today?
Why not tomorrow?
Because Today is today-
And tomorrow- is tomorrow.
And when I see you again-
I want to smile with pride-
And know that I’m trying
To make myself the best I can be.
Because I know one day-
That you will finally decide-
That here with me is where
You belong, and want to be.
Here in my heart- and by my side
Here in my house, as my friend, and lover.
And so today is the day,
That I finally do right.
For me, for myself, and even for I.
For I'm ready to live, and ready to survive...
