Today Is the Day

Obsessions about tomorrow indicate
that we cannot wait to know the future.
Obsessions with yesterday portray
dissatisfaction with today's reality.
Yesterday, whether pathetic or prophetic,
is a school and a tool, not a rival of today.

Nice work Curtis. I'm a little surprised there hasn't been more comments on your poem and its subject in all honesty. I've often contemplated the idea that we humans dont take the time to appreciate where we are now. Cheers - Gary

Thank you, Gary. I'm convinced that so many people, many of them Christian, are stumbling over today, looking for tomorrow. Thanks again for your comment. Blessings.
