Today, I Resolve

Today, I resolve…
	…to finalize important plans
	and get them underway,
		…to eschew unkind words
		and displays of anger,
			…to help someone become
			the person they want to be.
Today, I resolve
	…to repair something
	I left in disarray,
		…to come to the aid of
		someone in danger,
			…to demonstrate the values
			of fairness and honesty.
Today, I resolve
	…to be a better person
	than I was yesterday,
		…to do a good deed
		for a total stranger,
			…to make life easier
			for those around me.
Today, I resolve…
	…to make the world we live in
	a better place,
		…and, obviously, I need
                to start with me!
