lesson three time is broken where it used to speed along it now barely wobbles injured maybe crippled i keep my mind bustling nonstop in the hopes to fall asleep at night from mere exhaustion busy working the whole day through uncluttering reorganizing worried i’ll soon run out of closets in the silence time is illusion somehow i’ll need to face creating a routine around the void of him Published in my 24-page photo/anthology book ~TODAY I LEARN TO BE A WIDOW~ 2020 AP: 3rd place 2021, Honorable Mention 2021 Posted on November 22, 2020

We get a routine around our spouse and that will certainly be different without them around. Must be lonely for sure. love phyl

Your last stanza is particularly poignant to me, Line. We spend our married years creating routines around our spouse; now you face a "new normal" where the routines are created around the void of him. I know my Mom dealt with widowhood by staying busy, as you describe.

Having seen many deaths in my own life( mother,father, mother-in-law, father-in-law, granny, aunt) I can really relate to what you write.from full busy to little work and the silence around in house. I am sure you will find something to keep you busy. Please do read Bhagvad Gita chapter two. You will find it in net. Oh dear Line it is such early days yet, I am sure your head is all over the place, unable to concentrate on anything, feeling that you are not part of this world, I know that is how I felt my dear, although grief and how we go through it can be different for each person and there is no pattern to it. The one thing that is certain is that Dennis is close to you, for a love like yours can never die ~ take comfort from that dear Line. Love and hugs Ann xx

In time Line you will be able to have some sort of routine, at the moment everything is strange to you. Keeping busy will help you in the days ahead. One thing I know Dennis would want you to carry on living your life. Take care Tom
