Today I Cried

"Today I cried,
For I realized
Emptiness was inside
Me.

Surrounded by my world,
Sunk in a chair curled,
Emptiness that could of hurled
Me

To a deeper depth,
As sadness crept
If my soul would let
Me

But somewhere inside,
Where motivation resides
I could no longer hide
Me

A flickering flame,
In my soul took aim,
To re-claim
Me

To see the wonderment of life,
With all its imperfections and strife
Yes God made it right,
Me

With each breath I awoke, stronger
The bread of life fed my hunger
Moving from down under
Me

To stand tall in the light of day,
As the burdens of life fell away
Empowered to fight them my way
Me

For I am not alone anymore,
As God has knocked on my door,
I now know he will not ignore
Me

For in his wisdom and blessing,
I know what I was missing,
And this world was giving
Me....

Hope"
