Today and Always

Today and always, only you made me gay
Eye-to-eye we collide at the quay
On one blessed moment of spring May

Today and always, you have a way
My heartbeats you made 'em sway
Sweet lovely bard I want to play

Today and always, passion you display
All by my side you sturdily stay
Affection rays, dime you didn't like me pay

Today and always, allow me to say
We have been touched flexible like clay
Forevermore attunes beginning that day

"Today and always, passion you display All by my side you sturdily stay Affection rays, dime you didn't like me pay" These three lines are brilliant! You have a clever and romantic way with words, Olive. Precious poem. It is as mesmerizing as diamonds. The optimistic affection is portrayed in this verse. Simply super! Have yourself a fine week. Olive, this deserves to be printed, wood-laminated then hung on the wall where people always pass by. The world needs the kind of positivity that's inherent in you.

" My heartbeats you made'em sway..." that's super fine feeling Olive. Very good alliteration in this poem. Sometimes affection should make us feel very secure. J.A.B.
