Today

Love ain't always forever
With that I am more than sure.
Tomorrow we might not remember
The struggles we had to endure.
Today might be the only time
That we both will share...
Today might only be our prime,
The pain of tomorrow I alone will bear.
I refuse to think about the next day
I'd rather kiss your lips for hours.
I know you are not here to stay,
Until the next bloom of flowers.
Still, I hope you'd hold me
And let me sleep by your side.
Amidst the vastness of the sea
Of tears that I have cried;
As my heart die bit by bit,
I'll try to think of only today.
Until our candle's been unlit
And everything else fades away.
