Today

It's Saturday...
It's today...
The shouts are familiar afar
behind the bars of my mind
It's today…
The streets are packed with people,
but, the day's troubled in pain.
Crows disperse off the trees,
intimidated by the hoots of a 7 train
I'm walking and time flees
with the head fixed up in the sky.
Can't help thinking,
The Sun still shines,
squirrels are frolicking...
Today is my birthday.
I take another lonely breath in,
even the sea is celestial blue,
It was four, three hours back,
Don’t know why, no clue,
everybody is here,
except you.
