Today

Today is what matters, today is now
Tomorrow is just a promise
Forgotten somehow

Today is the present
Get in gear and explore
Live out all your fantasies
For tomorrow may be just a bore

Today is this instance
Tomorrow can change in a flash
Grab life and air, big air
Share your love till it lasts

Today is for gain
Right now make the call
Say I am sorry or I love you!!
For tomorrow is just a promise
Forgotten somehow

Sweet...and true; life is today, for tomorrow is a promise that can't be broken and yesterday is already a vanishing dream.

Very well stated, Doris. You may have an appointment tomorrow but it doesn't mean we will be here to make it. Love your poem. Thanks for your comment on Heads Up. Sorry about your brother in law. I know the feeling I was on the edge of a couple of them myself. We watched as it took McConnel Air Force Base in Wichita, Ks away. Unbelieveable what nature can do. But she has had a lot of years to practice before there were humans involved. God Bless, Cile
