Today
Today you do not need to
Write the world’s best poem
Paint the world’s most interesting canvas
Out-dance your classmates
Today you do not need to
Impress others with lunch notes to your children
Cut their sandwiches into four-leaf clovers
Find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow
All you have to do is survive
That is enough
