To You
I sing the song of love
never once revealing your name,
hiding in shadows, ashamed of loving you
when your vow was to another.
It is in the darkness i embrace you
hold you pressed to my heart
breathing in your scent
and loving you unconditionally.
I wish i knew better
but love doesn't choose
does it?
Whisper goodbye in my ear
make your way out of the room
never look back.
If you go away
then stay - stay away
without goodbye, just go.
To you,
let all else pass
and only memory survive.
