To Visit

Word
and her friends,
   O'MoreWords,
have come to visit.

Time, in deference,
   steps aside,
taking the children,
Must-have and Should-do,
   and locking
No-time away.

Sarah, your poem "To Visit" is a whimsical and playful exploration of the power of friendship and the importance of making time for those we love. I love how you use the personification of Time and the children's Must-have and Should-do to represent the demands of everyday life. Your poem reminds us that even the busiest can find time for the most important things.

Thank you, Daniel, for your read and for taking the time to comment. Especially 'Should-do' is a functional factor that helps me get things done, but can get quite pushy and demanding, drowning out my more subtle voices that call me to what's really more important, i.e., family, friends and writing. ;)
