To trouble tradition the song
To often we tend to flow
With the same old status quo
Unwilling to get out of the boat
Settling just to stay afloat
We need to trouble tradition
To change our spiritual position
To trigger a godly transformation
And become in Christ new creations
Too often we're reluctant to even take a chance
To try to alter our circumstance
To take that unknown journey as we traverse life
To learn to walk in the ways of Jesus the Christ
We need to trouble tradition

We serve an all-knowing God
who looks high and looks low
An all-powerful benevolent being
who for us will always show
His Mercy, His grace, His unconditional love
And the power that abides in the sacrificial blood
No life ain't easy but we need to understand
The significance of the sacrifice of the Son of Man
Yes we need to trouble tradition
To bring change to our spiritual position
To trigger a godly transformation
And in Christ become new creations
For now is the time
to take that unknown journey in life
To now walk in the ways
of our Savior Jesus the Christ
Who for us died when He troubled tradition
When for us He made
the ultimate act of submission
Yes, we need to go out and trouble tradition
To get up and now change our spiritual position
To trigger a godly transformation
and in the name of Christ become new creations
