As wisdom falls through apertures of the sky forever evanescent in nature passing us by We are told too frequently to know our place or there'll be consequences that we'll face Still, a man must do what a man must do sometimes this concludes taking a different avenue When a man is confronted with many conflicts he cannot live so his life contradicts Standing alone this may entail for a while with nothing but your own thoughts to beguile Yourself you see in a mirror of crime repeating the same offense "life" every time

Ilove this piece, W2, though I don't have a clue what you (and everyone below) are referencing ... I've had one person mention something to me about a lot of folks leaving, but I don't know why, nor do I know how everyone seems to know but me, and where this info is posted or discussed. ANYway, I personally love this site and can't imagine why anyone would leave over words ... we are all, after all, craftsmen and women with words, and know that love and kindness overcomes ANYTHING said in anger.

Hello I do not want anyone to leave the Soup.I like to read all the poems the poets and poetess have written. Some of these poems have healing words which does help some of us that need these healing words. So don't LEAVE!!! have a nice day everyone.

WW, This is a very perceptive and masterfully-crafted couplet for sure, and could actually be applied in many other different life-related circumstances. Concerning the subject at hand, I can understand why some people "leave this site" and/or "take a break" from it. (I've taken a few breaks too in the past.) I write for professional publication, and have no patience for the childish behavior that some people are involved in on this site. So Sad -- indeed!! A Great Couplet -- A FAVE!! Cheers, GB

It's so sad to see good folks leaving, but i Hope that like Jan, they are just going to take a break and come back. I enjoyed this , Budgie.

I've seen folks come and go Budgie but no way would I close my account and remove all my poems and then come back later - far better to take a break and return when things are better in your life. I'm glad Darren is just taking a break I would miss him dreadfully if he wasn't on soup any more:-( Despite my 'adieu' poem I'm not leaving you are stuck with my poop for the long haul lol:-) hugs jan xx

LOL, funny you should mention you "adieu" poem, because for once I checked out the POTD and I did leave a comment on it, but it went to Frederick Parker's poem instead, so I removed it! Never stop the poop princess /|\
