To Thine Own Self Be True

“ Care about what other people think,and you will always be their prisoner.” ~Philosopher, Lao Tzu~ So dying to be adored! Empty as dried out lakes. Oh, how tragic to behold, The old, being just fakes. We, especially who have trouble seeing or hearing. Do simply not understand, At the young, stop your jeering! Take inventory of our time left. Knock off telling the old to follow. Cheapness is our great sorrow. Hiding well what we have learned. Flashing our bold sheepskins? They all should be burned! Have we learned nothing at all? Deaf ones, prideful, should be scorned. Younger poets we treat with derision. As is we were gods, with some royal circumcision? No, no. do not ape the crowds. Sing your song fearlessly, sing it loud. Never be cheap, a crowd pleaser. You, afraid to speak truth? Nothing but life’s greatest teasers! 12/14/2021

It is not for us to draw love or hate but to love truth and to do right. Where do we find out how to do that…by reading God’s word. Our allegiance to God is far above all else and is what gives us the ability to love others including our enemies. God bless you, Pangie. I love the Orwell quote too!

Wowser of a qoute from Orwell ...these days, people Would not know the truth even if it hit them in the face. They learned proganda quite well, however, Brainwashed to the gills! Thus, we see the world awash with idiots for leaders, whom vox popouli placed it office,but take zero responsinitity that they ......put then in office. Watch the meowing in comments. You are a sweetheart, PS who has a handle on lifes the Truisms. I have had outstanding mentors...I laud them. Not me. I agree with you on the two lines. Important to tell poets what we liked ..pre cutanswers are not helpful. Ciliches are worse barf. There are some new poets aboard, unafraid to be themselves..great..,,Pangie. Love plus
