To the Point

Is it all in vain
this strain?

Has this pain left no room for refrain
is it decidedly so, is it tragically stained?

Swinging a hammer at a window doesn't make it easier
breaking down a castle only makes it worse
but choking off a dream is always better
let the dying take its course

What was the point
to hopelessly disappoint?

Has something missed something to lead up to this
or was it something I missed or something we missed?

Throwing a stone into a glass house doesn't make it better
and burning bridges doesn't work either
but passing out helps to quell the voices
of the second-guesses questioning my choices.
