To the One I Lost

In the crack of the rocky ledge of my meadow,
a sapling grew on broken pathway to nowhere.
A lone bud bloomed with the color of spring
in my heart as a flaming flower called love.

You came on the wings of zooming zephyr,
blew a sensuous storm of fervor through me.
I held the ruffled petals close to my heart,
lest they flew away to obscure wilderness.

The transient flame of the desire trajectory
furrowed in my mind a blazing trail of yearning.
I traced its amorous track with fervent ardor,
even if it was fading like the flicker of your love.

In the drizzle of twilight you walked away
from my withered garden once so green.
Your stride trampled the flower of my love,
its petals made a debris of my broken heart.

Losing the longing in the darkness of desolation,
I sauntered sullen to the silent shore of sorrow.
My emotions swirled like the dislodged sands
in the tide of remote time when you were mine.

You will never know how much I miss you,
while the splinters of my heart cry silently,
tear drops roll on the dismal path I walk now,
searching for you in the ruins of my ecstasy.

Sleeping on the desolate edge of lonely night,
I saw you as a shining star in my dream sky,
sparkled for a while to disappear forever,
and in despair I feel I didn’t dream enough.
