To the Leader of Our Country

Dear Sir, what am I to do
to defend myself for trusting you
it hurts me to feel so betrayed
by someone i elected on election day

You were given everything you needed
and you squandered it all finally defeated
we begged and pleaded and you promised us change
but some how you only maanaged to get a bad name

perhaps you don't know the damage you've done
fighting important battles, having not won
you have failed your for fathers
Fredrick Douglas, Martin Luther King, George Washington. John F. Kennedy

when as a President you imitated a weakling
and you wonder why your base was leaving
could it be, they felt stabbed in the back
it's because you retreat in the face of attach

many things we fought for
and hoped you that you'd make a stand
monuments of your failures
you played right into their hands

and i ,so ashamed almost to the point of tears
because i prayed that these would be better years
i don't care if you run again or not
i won't vote for you, for the treatment we got

why this letter so promptly today
because our government is being given away
how rich will they make you i have'nt a clue
but one things for sure, i'm through with you

Good work about politics..I think if change doesn't happen that most people who voted for him are saying the same...But we are stuck for two more years..Michelle is luckier she can leave if she would like to...Sara

The true measure of an opinion is the breadth that it resonates in the human heart ... I hoe the one who promised to listen to the people is listening to you rather than the academic theoreticians who are telling the king is nakedness is his new clothes.

John, what did I tell you about him when you were electing him. Your country is run by the big boys and the corporations . They campaign slamming each other and jokes are written about Bush and how he wasn't even elected that money bought his way into the presidental seat. Dictatorship or what. I know it is the same in all countries where the rich seem to be running it. In Can. you have to have money to run. What is the world becoming. Phyl

John! John!! What a slam!!! And so rightly said. We all feel a sense of being let down. All around the world, we had expected a difference, we expected change, but he runs like a chased dog with his tail between his hind legs. Shame! Shame!! Tripple shame!!!

your poem - I am in awe Mr.Loving, doesn't matter where you live in the world, all leaders are the same and we are all being betrayed, whilst the new world order machine rolls on relentlessly, crushing all in its wake...

John, there were many of us who were betrayed. Each day I learn more things that startle me. Muslims as well as a couple other groups are exempt from the requirement to purchase federal health care insurance. Something is really wrong. You should send this letter to the administration in the White House. You said it all and said it well! Love, Carolyn
