To the End

Grain by grain life is engulfed
by the crashing waves of time.

On a constant voyage
seeking for an ideal shore,
yet another body is wrecked
by the deathly song of sirens.

Like a seagull, the soul hovers
with wings half wet and half dry.

There is some powerful imagery in this poem. I particularly like the first and last two lines of this poem. Very, very powerful.

Too often we become lost in life while looking for the things we can never find... There is a lot of wisdom in your words and all of us can learn something from them... Very well written!

Very deep, philosophical as Silent said below Afzal. It's very evocative of life and I can imagine a Light House sending out a beacon...Maria
