To Stay

Sometimes we can try to just leave
to fly far, far…… away
on the random moods, of the wind

Or soar like a bird
heading to a make believe home
where no-one is there 
to even say goodbye

Or to step onto a cold, lonely bus, on a grey day
with all your baggage

But then sometimes, it can take just one moment
just the right place 
or just, that incredible person

To help you realise, that to be able to feel
what life is really all about, and worth feeling

That maybe then, we can realise that
a whisper that touches our hand
an echo that touches our heart

Or the soft fluttering of wings
outside our comfortable window

Is what it’s all about.
