To Replace
To Replace...!
Many to replace in each of us
and can readily think of these!
'Hatred' with 'love' to find peace,
so that all can smile with ease!
'Healing touch' that heals pain,
if touched, never goes in vain!
Let there be 'courage' instead,
'cowardice' - that's better dead!
Awakened and aware in place,
against gross 'ignorance's' face;
Continuously 'giving' in all form,
avoiding 'taking' away as norm!
'Generosity' to hold fort in world,
and shun 'avarice' that's untold!
Thriving 'hope' instead of 'despair',
to release people trapped in a snare.
Trust in life and all of humanity,
by removing doubts from fraternity!
Health and happiness all over,
sending disease away to cower!
'Anger', swapped for 'compassion',
spilling over - soothing all fission!
Bearing the torch of forgiveness,
thoughts of vengeance - burnt, I profess!
Freedom from the knotted hearts
and minds, wiping slavery of all sorts;
Violence, forgotten even as a word,
that the word Peace alone be heard!
'Truth' in letter and spirit to rule,
untruth never to be used as tool!
'Man' - with his traits lost in disdain,
become 'Human' - habitually humane!
