To Pop
Your eyes were green
But one was blind
You were deaf in one ear
But I didn't mind
I loved you so much
And saw you each day
It left a hole in my life
When yours was taken away
It was from Alzheimer's
That you died
If I'd been allowed to see you
I could have said "Goodbye"
But they said you were thin
And they said you were pale
They said you wouldn't remember me
Because your memory was stale
I know that from Heaven
You will always shine
And memories of the time we shared
Will always be mine
