To Pen, Or Not To Pen

Perfectionist, I will never be. Alas, not even in the land of poetry! Why can I not a mistake make? It's a poem, after all, not a bridal cake! Few here, a true classical poem can pen. Nor can I, even modern verse mend! So, shall I go on with poetic communication? Or remove all my poetry, till I meet your qualifications? To pen, or not to pen? Maybe, after all, this is my final end. The heart and truth is not wanted here. Poems with meaning, replied to rarely, due to fear. The best poets here, for shame, not read! What goes on in poetic heads? 3/1/2021 ~4~

What goes on is for us to figure out. I find that with most people it's not what you say it's what they THINK they heard. People often don't pay attention to what s being said. And then they repeat what is going on in their own head. A fine write my friend. Write On. God Bless, JB

Hi Judy, and thank you for sharing your poetic spirit. I just like honest comments. People do read poems as they see them. Each of us has our own experience. If I write about the mundane, I get comments.but will never be mundane.)) I am not good at humor yet. That's for others here to do. Only a beginner at Poetry, in any case. Panagiota, An important question and aptly penned in poem. Nothing wrong in seeking perfection, though too many a critic, too few creations reach the light of day. Always know it when words touch the heart, and feel a trace of the poet's in return. -Richard

Storms, beauty, dreams, struggles, the past and the future. Add, hopes and dreams. As I told Maureen, looking for the right form. I am not here to tickle feet but hope to touch souls. Fabulous poem! What goes on in poetic heads indeed! I think most if not all of us here have wrestled with our muse about ending it all here. When it comes to art and poetry tho I am a perfectionist, I can spend days on one word and I whittle and I whittle, that’s why most of my poems are so short. xomo
