To No Avail- Paz

A forest is no hiding place,
  delusion so macabre,
missing aspect of sentience,
   at odds with human quest
 Idyllic spot one might crave
    that brambled graveyard
self mockery of silence,
  mere barren vegetation,
to the weed strewn seeker
  none the wiser of themselves

It's true, we can't hide from ourselves and if alone we have to face who we really are which sometimes is not so easy. Thank you for this point of view on Paz's work. It reads like a good contender to me. Way to go. Sara K.
