To myself

To myself
To me who walks alone amid the storms,
When doubt whispers and tries to break my faith,
I keep deep in my heart some secret promises
That softly say: do not give up—believe.

To me who sometimes falls yet rises once again,
I know that every trial teaches how to become;
For even in the night when hope seems asleep,
A star appears to guide the future. ?
