To My Wife

Don't think of me as a stranger,
I'll be the man who protects you from danger.
I want to take you to loves extremes,
And possibly be the man of your dreams.
I'm a man that's honest and true,
And all I want is to be with you.
Just tell me what else I have to do,
To be the man you look at and say "I love you."

What more could I ask for today? It is a beautiful day the sun shining and birds singing. I am reading your poetry in which you share a little of yourself maybe without even realizing it you have written from your soul. Thank you for sharing your excellent poetry with us Earl. Love, Carol
