I try to write a poem around important days of the year.. In lie of flowers I wrote this for my wife of many years. I hope she lkes it.
Day-245 “To My Sweet Valentine”
Yes there were tears
And, yes there were fears
Yet, over the years,
There’s been plenty to cheer
For all we’ve held dear
Sometimes we’ve whined
Yet often we’ve rhymed
But a glass of wine
And a valentine kiss
Has never left us a-miss
So on this heart shaped day
I’ll give you what may
This poem as a lei
To cherish in your heart
Till life tears us apart
Happy Valentine’s Day My Love
