To My Soul

Where the heart and soul compress
Is a secret garden of helpless bliss
Foreshadowed by any distorted pain
Unrelinquished freedom yet never vain
And I shall await your bated breath
Today tomorrow until my death
For you are I and I am you
An interwoven love no one a clue

“The soul, fortunately, has an interpreter - often an unconscious but still a faithful interpreter - in the eye.” Once I had a secret love, Doris Day. I love this poem Kelli, very deep, very beautiful. Souls meet when they are meant to meet and usually it is when they least expect it. x
