To My Last Love:

to my last love:

my heart aches
knowing you aren’t
mine any longer

i lost you
to the world
and another holds
your heart

but our souls
were meant to intertwine
and i will never
cut that thread
for it’s in knots;

tangled in my
heartstrings and
the ones tied
on our fingers;

always leading us back to each other,
always connecting us,
and always promising our return
