To My Daughter
It hurts my heart to look in your face
And see that man who hurts you everyday
It hurts my heart that I can’t fill that space
You want so much to have someone to call dad
It hurts my heart when you have your emotional days
And you’re sad
It’s a void I can’t fill
I made you a promise, to make you happy
And I will
Even though he’s not around, know that you are loved still,
You are my beautiful angel,
My sun shining bright,
Through the darkest storm, you make everything alright
I will be your father, your mother, best friend and more
You don’t have to cry for him anymore,
Smile for mommy baby,
I’m always here
You are my heart beat, my laugh and my smile
You make everyday I’m alive worth wile
I love you, more than you will ever know
Forever in me, you will have all you need
My daughter, my baby, my angel, my child
Smile for mommy baby,
Don’t feel bad, I’ll take away the hurt and pain
And just like you are to me, I’ll be your sun through the rain
You mean the world to me; I won’t let anyone hurt you
You don’t need him, he doesn’t deserve you,
You’re just a child;
There are some things you shouldn’t
Go through
Just smile for mommy baby, don’t be sad,
Because in me,
You’ll always have a mom and dad.
