To My Brothers, I Go On

So much time since you left. I still see you. It does good for me. LAST NIGHT YOU SCARED ME! But before that you dared me to find you now. And now it is now, and I may think the way you did, when you were my heroes and I was a kid. This kid will soon be sixty-two. How about that, brothers? Look what I did!

Scott, your poem is a poignant and reflective exploration of the bond between siblings and the power of memory. I am particularly struck by the way you use the imagery of being scared and daring to represent the process of facing our fears and growing up. Your poem reminds us that even though our loved ones may no longer be with us, their presence can still be felt in our hearts and minds. - Blessings, Daniel

Daniel, thank you so much for your comment. It inspired insight which slipped by me as I wrote it. I too have tried some haiku. Cudos to you for some fine short verse. I will continue to follow...
