To My Baby Girl

Although we’ve not met, just yet,
I know that you’re special.
I don’t have to bet.
I know that you’ll recognize me.
I will do my best to be a great mommy.
I want you to be the best that you can be,
So that you’ll be the star of the family tree.
No matter what you are and how you’ll end up,
You’ll always receive your mother’s love.

I can’t wait until we can hug,
And look into each others eyes.
You are a blessing from above,
From high in the heavenly skies.
I can’t wait until I become your teacher
Neither can I wait until you hold out your arms
To me, my baby girl’s reacher.
I will be overjoyed just to meet you,
And to tell you, my baby girl,
I love you and welcome to the world.
