To Miss Someone

It's not so easy to miss someone
you have loved or cared about:
I have loved you in ways
that can't be described;
I have held you in times
that are sad to keep in mind:
but dreams are no longer bright,
they are dark, not divine!  

It's not easy to miss someone,
and pretend there never was anything
that made us happy beyond meaning;
It's not easy to miss someone
that was a light in this existence,
now so empty without her presence! 

I barely hang on hope,
all confidence is gone;
you're in somebody's arms...
what can make me feel fine?
I refuse to move on and forget
that what we had was so perfect!
I even struggle to cope
with my hurt until pain subsides;
I realize how absent
you are in everything:
that's an awful feeling! 

How can anyone believe in people's unfounded lies?
They trashed their love for something so worthless;
it's not easy to miss someone without crying:
if it was really precious, it was worth sharing!
