To Mary

Valentines Day makes 17 years since you've been gone away
When you left I was only 15 years old but Ill never forget your smile
I'm going to tell you a secret 17 years after you were gone I finally learned to be strong
See you were my favorite person in the world
And then with the blink of an eye you were gone
Never will I forget the day to day lessons and conversations
Grandma you taught me right from wrong and yes ma'am an no sir to anyone who's grown
Wish you were here today so I could kiss your cheek or maybe just for old times sake you tired go lay day and go to sleep
I love and miss you granny thanks for everything
Valentines Day makes 17 years since you passed away
If it weren't for you I wouldn't be the man I am today
