To Leave a Melody

I write upon your heart a poem from desire
unconditional fervor from my soul
to fill your heart's realm of passion
a token to express
without tethers or bonds to suffocate your dreams
to allow your soul to read what love brings

And lift you to the sky on the words of love's wings
to soar among your heart's glorious gleams
with poetic words that confess
from a lover's fashion
which flowed from his heart and touched a heartbeat still whole
and lit our sensual eyes with love's fire

To burn with a trembled kiss and not conspire
as we share this bliss with complete extol
and free the binds of compassion
with romantic caress
from a poem of love with an eternal theme
to leave a melody the soul still sings
