To Her

To feel your body close to mine,
Your skin
So smooth
So soft
As silk or maybe satin.
What more can I desire?
I love to kiss your skin
A taste of honey and some spice.
And then your perfume, I breathe it in
No artifice required
It’s yours
Unique.
What is the source?
Just pheromones?
No! That’s far too pedestrian
There must be something magical
To cause my head to spin.
I search each nook and cranny
And it’s all the same.
It’s everywhere
It overwhelms me.
What can I do?
Who am I to solve the mysteries of my love?
I go to sleep content
