To Green Hills

To Green Hills
By Joji Varghese Kunheria

Never was a time like this for us all
Dwelling inside this fabulous abode
Enjoying the life across the crossroad
Green Hills has been the haven of our soul
Majestic in its appearance and tall
Not so far but pleasantly located
From the hurly-burly of city crowd
Yet much within the heartbeat of it all.

Surrounded by the coconuts lush green
So abundant in this God's own country
You feel it as you enter, neat and clean
And a sweet and rich feeling so homely
The new order of things makes it serene
Making my dwelling place very lovely.
